Caroline Clift
Well, I'm Caroline, 31, 6ft with red hair and relatively
unfit! I signed up to this challenge as a result of
bumping into Matt Storey at International Confex.
So with less than eight weeks to train, I'm not sure
whether I'll finish the distance but I'm going to give it
a bloody good go.
I quite like a challenge – I've trekked the Amazon and
have completed a tandem skydive with the Red Devils
so you could say I'm quite spirited. I even moved from
my original home in the north and moved down south
– hence, I do like an adventure or is that escapism!
I hail from Grimsby but please don't hold that against
me. I moved down south to begin life as a journalist,
and I've never looked back.
I am the editor of Stand Out magazine, and have had
the pleasure of working in the events industry for five
years. I love events, and the people who work in them just as much. I've met some amazing people over the years, and I now am lucky enough to call them my friends.
I did not have the pleasure of knowing Howard, but I've lost seven family members to cancer, most recently my Gran in October 2009 – it's an awful disease – and so that's why I am walking.
