Madeleine Johnson

Madeleine Johnson is a snacker and grazer par excellence, skills that will ensure she is constantly refuelled on the Howard’s Way Walk, sampling all of the delicious confections created by Jane and the support crew.

Her second favourite activity is talking, which is why, after just 6 years in the exhibition and event industry she seems to know most of the people in it.

Whilst working for media tyrant Simon Burton she was unable to secure any time off to complete the 2009 walk, but did join the team as a weekend participant and managed to complete two days of the walk. The camaraderie, dedication and commitment to the Howard’s Way cause genuinely overwhelmed her and she completed every step of the South Downs Way last year – this is a lot more steps than everyone else took because unlike her first boss in the exhibition industry Laura Moody, her legs are about  20 inches long which, combined with the constant distractions of munching and chatter, means she’s likely to be found at the back of the herd.
