2011 LINGERIE FASHION SHOW

Richmond lingerie and swimwear boutique SL Privée (www.slprivee.com) held its 2011 lingerie and swimwear fashion show on 2 Nov 11 at One Kew Road in Richmond, Surrey in support of the Howards Way Walk Team (www.howardswaywalk.co.uk) raising funds for the Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund (www.pcrf.org.uk).

Some 160 guests enjoyed drinks and canapés prior to an
outstanding show all modelled by SL Privée clients.

New lingerie and swimwear collections were shown
including the latest from La Perla, Marie Jo and Aubade.

The event raised £2800 for the Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund.  Pivotal to that success was the support of One Kew Road, The Sanctuary, Noble Jones, Neal Gray Jewellers, Gallowglass, RPM and Conference Set Services.

SL Privée owners, Susana Lorena and Justin Hughes recently walked the 85 miles of the Dales Way in just 3 days as part of the Howards’ Way Walk Team 2011.  Total funds raised are now over £30,000.

SL Privee was opened in Sep 2007 by founder Susana Lorena, and is all
about having women feel more confident and sexy when they leave than
when they arrived.

Susana’s aim is to make fabulous lingerie and swimwear available to all
women, not just size zero 21 year olds.

To that end the focus is clearly on the service experience, both bra
fitting and building relationships with clients to make the shopping
experience fun and exciting, as opposed to awkward and intimidating.

Susana's unique (slightly mad Portuguese) approach to the lingerie shopping experience has won many friends and admirers, even amongst those women whose bras ended up in 'the bin of shame'!

A class from the Falcon School for Boys taught by HWW walker Julez MacDonald and inspired by stories and pictures, recently organised their own sponsored walk in aid of Pancreatic Cancer research.

Aged between 6 and 7 years the boys raised money individually – one young fundraiser amassing £800 in his own right.

FALCON SCHOOL WALK

Fundraising activity surrounding the events industry’s fourth annual Howard’s Way Walk has continued to build, following the 85 mile challenge undertaken in October.  The current total raised for Pancreatic Cancer research in 2011 has now exceeded £42,000.

Spin-off activities have included a lingerie fashion show held by Richmond lingerie and swimwear boutique SL Priveé, which raised £2,800 and a class from the Falcon School for Boys taught by HWW walker Julez MacDonald, recently organised their own sponsored walk in aid of Pancreatic Cancer research and raised in excess of £6000.
